This year, we have been asked to give a list of participants to the UQAM security before the Labs begin. We would really appreciate it if you can register in advance, rather than on the day of the activity! If you buy a drop-in activity, you can use it any day of the Labs, and your name will already be on the list.
The Nous Sommes l'Été Labs are a summer camp for professional movement artists. It is a gathering of artists that creates a hive in which you are invited to create, exchange, and experiment with people who share or complement your curiosity and your creative desires. The labs are organized by our teams in Montreal and Quebec and are based on the principles of
generous listening
conversations
and accessible spaces.
NSL does not curate or make a selection of artists. All you have to do is sign up to participate.
The Labs have three types of activities.
During workshops, an invited expert shares their knowledge of their discipline.
The exploration groups bring together artists who share interests during a 3-hour block. This is a peer-to-peer activity; everyone learns from each other.
The hive activities are moments of meeting, reflection and sharing in community.
Join us as a collaborator-mover (diving into experiments with other artists), an instigator (proposing and guiding an idea you'd like to try out with other participants), or just for the drop-in workshop and hive activities.

Nous Sommes l'Été seeks to maintain prices as low as possible to ensure financial accessibility for artists at all stages of their career.
If the price of the Labs are an obstacle for you, plese write to us and we will find a solution together. If you are in a position to do so, please consider offering a donation to NSL to support the entrance fees of other artists, which can be done through the registration form.
