Do you, like us, believe that it is essential for artists to have a space to develop their practice without the expectation of producing work?
Nous Sommes l'Été offers a time and space for listening, meeting and sharing, with the goal of supporting dance artists in the development of their artistic voice. We believe that every artist has something to say and we value the contributions of all participants, regardless of their level of experience. We also know that many artists live in financial precarity and experience barriers to accessing professional development and creative support. This is why two pilars of our operations are affordability and accessibility. Every year, we work to ensure that the rates to participate in our activities are as low as possible, in order to reduce the barriers to participation as much as possible. However, we also value our extraordinary team of organizers, and want to ensure they are fairly compensated for their work. Any contribution you are able to make to Nous Sommes l'Été will be used towards the following goals:
1. Maintaining the affordability of all of our activities
2. Ensuring healthy working conditions for our team
